Jim Donaldson, Project Manager
Mr. Donaldson is a project manager and anchors Tofel Construction’s Phoenix operations. He brings over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, with 10 years most recently in the multi-family segment.
Mr. Donaldson previously had 14 years experience as a carpenter foreman, including framing and finish work, prior to becoming a superintendent. He originally started his trade in Iron Mountain, Michigan, before moving to Arizona for 10 years. Mr. Donaldson then returned to Michigan and obtained a general contractor’s license where he spent 2 years building custom homes.
Eventually the warm weather brought him back to Arizona where he started working as an assistant superintendent for a company building multifamily housing projects.
In 2000, Mr. Donaldson joined Tofel Construction (then TA-Wallick Construction LLC) as an assistant superintendent. Proving his talents on a couple of projects, he was promoted to superintendent. After four years with Tofel, he went on to another company where he built market-rate multifamily projects for five more years. During those years, he aggressively extended his educational background in the areas of composition, business, and computer operations.
Tofel Construction re-hired Mr. Donaldson as a project manager in 2009. His high sense of integrity, work ethic, and construction and management experience makes him a valuable element in the success of Tofel Construction.
